Welcome back to the French classroom! This semester our cohort is enrolled in French II. Please see the attached PDF to view the scope and sequence for this course.
During these first ten days of this semester, these concepts were mastered: -Food vocabulary -Restaurant/ordering dialogues -The Very Hungry Caterpillar (La Chenille qui fait des trous) -Questions about food, hunger and thirst -Authentic French cuisine -Authentic French desserts (la patisserie, la boulangerie) -More "High Frequency" vocabulary words
The Unit Test covering these concepts was Thursday January 17.
Please remember that this course again aims to develop students' abilities to use the French language across the four language modalities: -SPEAKING -LISTENING -READING -WRITING
Daily, consistent student participation is key! Students should not necessarily expect to receive the same grade(s) that they received in the fall semester as this semester is a completely new course. This course will invariably include newer and more advanced concepts than were presented in French I. The aim of this course is for French to be spoken by the teacher and the students 90-100% of instructional time.
